Delete your Vaeli account

Vaeli is made by an individual developer. You can delete your account and its data in two ways: in the app, or by email if the app is no longer on your phone.

In the app

Settings → Account → Delete account, then type the confirmation word. It takes effect immediately.

Without the app

Email privacy@vaeli.uk from the address you use to sign in, with the subject «Delete my account». We reply to confirm it is you and delete the account within 30 days, usually within 7.

Subscriptions

Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription bought in Google Play or the App Store. Cancel it in the store first, or it will keep charging you.

What is deleted

Your account (email, password hash, Google and Apple sign-in links), profile and plan, the chat with the assistant and what it remembers, the server copy of your timetable and tasks, reminders and push-notification addresses, exam practice attempts and drills. Data kept only on your phone is erased by the app during deletion, or when you uninstall it.

What is kept, and for how long

A fingerprint of your email address (SHA-256 of the normalised address) with the date your free Pro week ended, so the free week is given only once per address. The address cannot be recovered from it, and it cannot be used to find you. Kept without a time limit.
Purchase records at Google Play and the App Store, linked to a random account ID — for as long as tax law requires. Our server asks our payment processor RevenueCat to delete its record of you along with the account.
Technical logs at Cloudflare and Supabase — up to 30 days.
A copy of a report about an assistant reply, if you sent one, in the developer's mailbox — deleted within a year of the report.
Your email on the website waitlist, if you joined it — until you ask us to remove it at the same address.
