Cancellation and Refunds
Last updated 8 October 2026
This page is the promise we are held to when you pay for Vaeli. It is short on purpose: three rules, then the detail.
- Cancel any time, from the app or in Google Play. You keep what you paid for until the end of the paid month.
- Full refund in the first 14 days after your first payment. One email, no reason needed.
- Bought through Google Play? Google Play refunds it. If it says no, write to us and we will sort it out.
The free week of Pro
Every new account gets seven days of Pro. We do not ask for a card, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing can be charged when the week ends. You simply choose what comes next: Free, Standard or Pro. One week per email address.
How to cancel
In the app: Settings → Plan → Manage subscription. This opens subscription management for the store you bought from — only the store can stop a purchase made there. Or go straight to Google Play: Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Vaeli → Cancel subscription. We add no survey, no retention offer and no waiting period of our own; Google Play may ask an optional question about why you are leaving.
Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not take away what you have already paid for: the plan stays active until the end of the paid period, and the app shows that date. After it, the account moves to Free — the whole planner stays, and so does all your data. Until that date you can undo the cancellation in the same place, in your Google Play subscriptions.
Refunds
- First 14 days after your first payment: we refund all of it. Write to billing@vaeli.uk from the address of your account. You do not have to explain why. This is also your statutory right to cancel a distance contract as a consumer in the UK and the EU, and we do not ask you to waive it.
- After 14 days: a payment for a month that has already started is not refunded as a rule, but the plan stays active to the end of that month. If something went wrong on our side — you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or the paid features did not work — write to us and we will refund the affected payment.
- Google Play purchases are refunded by Google Play, under its rules: how to request a refund on Google Play. If the store refuses and you believe that is wrong, write to us.
Refunds go back to the payment method that was charged, usually within 5–10 working days, depending on your bank. We reply to refund requests within three working days.
What we never do
- We never see or store your card number. Payments are handled by the store or by a payment processor; the app receives only the fact that a plan is active.
- We do not charge without a purchase you confirmed, and the free week never turns into a paid plan by itself.
- We do not make cancelling harder than subscribing.
Your rights
Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under the law of the United Kingdom or of the country you live in. The rest of the agreement is in the Terms of Service.
